It's that time again! Attached you'll find the flier and application for the WIDE WORLD CHANGE WORKSHOP, which is just around the corner -- June 10-12th in Pacific Palisades. Will you be joining us this year? Jorge and I hope so!
Some food for thought:
1) Leaders--who do you really want to make it from your class? What needs to happen to make that happen? What needs to be discharged? Give me a call.
2) Money:
-Many of us FEEL like we can't afford it, or that we can only afford the bare minimum. While this may actually be the case, why not do at least a mini if not some sessions about it? You might find you can afford 10, 20, 100 or 200 dollars over our break even costs, which would help ensure that the workshop breaks even, and any extra funds go straight to helping RC liberation projects, so it's all for a good cause.
-We don't want anyone to not attend because of lack of funds. Ask your Area Reference Person if any funds may be available to sponsor your attendance (ask you teacher if you don't know who it is). And give me a call.
3) Whether your dreading this workshop or can't wait -- give me a call! I'd love to do some time with you about any and all feelings about it (including my own!)

2) Dinero – Muchos percibimos que no nos alcanza el dinero o que sólo tenemos para cubrir lo mínimo. Pueda que sea verdad, pero no se pierde nada en tomar una mini o algunas sesiones sobre el tema. Pueda que vea la forma de contribuir de 10, 20, 100 o hasta 200 dólares sobre el gasto para cubrir gastos, lo cual aseguraría que el taller sí cubra los gastos, y que fondos adicionales vayan directamente para ayudar a proyectos de liberación dentro de RC, así que todo va hacia una buena causa.
No queremos que alguien falte al taller debido a la carencia de fondos. Pregúntale a tu Area Reference Person si hay fondos disponibles que cubran tu costo para asistir (averigua con tu líder si desconoces quién es la ARP). Y échame una llamada.

Good things to know and tell:
The current social climate offers opportunities to build and strengthen relationships and to engage our friends, family, and communities in conversations about their hopes and dreams for our society and the changes we want to make in our lives and in our world. Our Wide World Change workshops are for anyone using (or wanting to use) our theory and practice to change societal institutions – government, environment, education, family, etc. There will be language translation throughout the workshop.
This workshop is open to Co-Counselors who have the approval of their ARP, are in a class, have at least six months experience, are active in their community, and agree not to use addictive substances or psychiatric drugs at the workshop. People of color, young people and young adults are particularly encouraged to attend. Since close, trusting relationships are the key to our working together effectively, full-time attendance is required (Friday 7 p.m.-Sun. 3 p.m.) unless Julian gives specific permission.
►Leader’s Day:
There will be a Pre-Workshop Day for teachers and those who are actively moving into leadership. The focus of the day has not yet been decided, but it is guaranteed to be FUN!!! The day starts 9 a.m. Friday. The additional fee is $50. Friday lunch and dinner included in the fee.
►Fee: $230 - $1,400
($285 break-even cost) In order for the workshop to afford a sliding scale like this one, many people have to pay significantly above the break-even cost. Please discharge before deciding.

El clima social actual ofrece oportunidades para crear and reforzar las relaciones e invitar a nuestras amistades, familias, y comunidades a conversar sobre sus esperanzas y sueños para nuestra sociedad y los cambios que queremos hacer en nuestras vidas y en nuestro mundo. Los talleres de para El Cambio Mundial son para las/os que utilizan (o desean utilizar) la teoría y enseñanza para cambiar las instituciones sociales – el gobierno, el medio ambiente, la educación, la familia, etc. Habrá interpretación de idioma durante todo el taller.
El taller es para las/os Co-Escuchas que han sido aprobados por su ARP, que asisten a una clase, que tienen por lo menos seis meses de experiencia, que son activas/os en su comunidad, y que aquerden en no utilizar substancias adictivas o drogas psiquiátricas durante el taller. En particular se anima a que asisten personas de color, jóvenes, y adultos jóvenes. Ya que las relaciones estrechas y de confianza son la clave para que trabajemos juntas/os de una manera eficaz, la presencia continua durante el taller es un requisito (del viernes desde las 7 de la tarde hasta el domingo a las 3 de la tarde) a menos que Julian dé un permiso específico.
►Día para los Líderes:
Habrá un día previo al taller para líderes y los que están en camino a ser líderes. No se ha decidido cuál será el enfoque del día pero ¡por seguro será muy divertido! El día empieza el viernes a las 9 de la mañana. El costo adicional es $50, que incluye la comida y la cena el viernes.
